The overnight interest rate depends on the interest rate difference between the two currencies, the position direction, and the financing rules of the product itself.

Regarding overnight interest, you should know:

  • Only when the position crosses the overnight settlement time specified by the platform, overnight interest will be generated.
  • Some currency pairs may have negative values in both the long and short directions.
  • Overnight interest is usually calculated in points, and the platform will automatically convert it into the account base currency.
  • Each product has independent long and short swap standards.
  • On Wednesday night, FX, metals and bonds typically settle at triple swaps; on Friday night, stocks, energy, indices and cryptocurrencies typically settle at triple swaps.
  • Right-click the product in the ”Market Observation” of the platform and select ”Specifications” to view the long and short overnight interest of the product.
