Trading Scam Awareness

Transaction scams don’t start out looking like scams.

Common scams usually establish trust first, and then induce investors to transfer money, leak account information or download unknown software through methods such as ”guaranteed profits”, ”limited time opportunities”, ”mentor-led orders”, ”fake platform account opening” or ”funds cannot be withdrawn and need to continue to pay fees”.

01

Don’t believe in “low risk, high reward”

CFD and foreign exchange are high-risk leveraged products. Any statement that promises stable returns, guaranteed profits, or zero risk should be considered a significant risk signal.

02

Do not leave the official process

Deposits, withdrawals, account information, passwords and verification information should all be processed through the official client area. Do not submit sensitive information through private links or chat software.

03

Don’t be pushed into making decisions

Scammers often use phrases such as ”last quota”, ”deposit immediately”, ”if you miss it, you lose it” to create pressure. Real investment decisions require verification and calm judgment.

Warning Signals

Common Transaction Scams and Cybersecurity Threats

The following scenarios do not necessarily constitute fraud alone, but as long as multiple of them occur, the operation should be suspended immediately and the identity, website address and fund path of the other party should be verified.

Phishing email

Pretends to be a trading platform or financial institution and induces you to click on links, download attachments, or submit passwords, verification codes, and bank card information.

Fake websites and clone platforms

Use similar domain names, logos, pages and backend interfaces to induce investors to deposit funds into unofficial platforms or fake trading accounts.

Impersonating a brand or employee

Impersonate a well-known CFD provider, customer service, account manager or ”analyst”, contact privately through social software and request to transfer funds.

Unregistered broker

Using low spreads, high rebates or fast withdrawals as bait, but there is no clear license, registered address, regulatory information and company entity.

Investment group and order group

Create a profit atmosphere through WeChat groups, Telegram, WhatsApp or social media to induce many people to pool funds into designated accounts.

High-pressure sales tactics

Constantly urge you to deposit funds, upgrade your account, pay deposits or taxes, and prevent you from verifying with official channels and regulatory agencies.

Misleading earnings display

Display screenshots of unverifiable earnings, simulated backend balances, false transaction records, or the past performance of the “mentor team”.

Inadequate risk disclosure

Deliberately downplay leverage, margin, volatility and loss risks, and package complex trading products into simple financial management.

Verification Checklist

Complete these 6 verification actions before operation.

  1. Check the official website domain nameDo not enter the account backend from a short link in an unfamiliar message, enter it manually or use a saved official address.
  2. Check company and license informationCheck the footer, regulatory page and public registration information to confirm that the company name, registration number and license number are consistent.

What To Do

If you suspect you have encountered a scam, stop transferring money first.

Keep chat records, links, payment accounts, transaction screenshots and original emails; immediately change the password, revoke the authorization of the suspicious device, and contact official support to confirm the next step. Do not continue to pay the other party the so-called ”unfreeze fees”, ”taxes”, ”deposits” or ”fund retrieval service fees”.
